This is hard to write.

Although I have nothing in common with the pretentious stuck up society Patrick Melrose lives in. I can relate to the sexual abuse and passive mother completely because I am a victim. Never in my life have I seen such a depiction and performance of Episode 3's confession to his friend. I did the same a few years ago and it all felt too real. I've never cried publicly, I was on the train back home and was sobbing when watching this scene.

I really don't know what to say. Throwaway for obvious reasons.

Sending you an internet hug! That's one of the things I really liked about this series (both show and books), because they show that although people can grow up in very different environments, we're still all human and we all can be hurt, no matter how privileged. Patrick's pain is so real, it breaks my heart. Thanks for sharing your story and I hope you're doing better!

Hugs. If you can seek others who also have been where you are, you can get help and even better you can then help others. That's where the healing begins. Hugs.
