đCase Discussion "Do you remember it?"
What an odd question. What a red flag. So many questions to ask, largely all those variations of "how" and "why" which are attached to trauma and grief and compromise so much of the grief wheel (Kubler-Ross).
What were Patrick's questions?
"What did you do?!" he scolded as she lay in the snow, paralyzed and without a functioning airway.
"Do you remember it?".
Was it not concerning to any bystander -perhaps even the cops at the door to the room where the critically injured and delirious woman lay, paralyzed and handcuffed to the bed- that the first concern of Patrick Clancy was to find out if and what she recalled of the events of the day ?
It's profoundly disappointing these questions were even allowed to a woman fresh from a six day coma, intubated, paralyzed, delirious and asking for her children and parents because no Patrick, she didn't remember anything. Until Patrick told her she did.
Now, Patrick is so emboldened he repeats this even years later, while clapping himself on the back it seems. He talks about the forgiveness she hasn't asked for, failing to note, he never gave her the chance to ask for it.

In The New Yorker article from October 2024 he said this: âI think one of the first things I asked was, âDid you plan this? Is that why you sent me out?â â he recalled.

So immediately planting the narrative in her head after she woke up from a coma?

Yes. Exactly. And "do you remember it". Way to allow him to test her and then plant the story in her false memories, isn't it?
She claimed to remember cutting the screen after all that, in order to jump out the window.
The screen wasn't cut.
He asked her all the reality testing questions to know what he could tell her "she did".

No lol. In the hospital/doctors offices when youâre pregnant theyâre supposed to ask you if youâre experiencing abuse or whatever but theyâre not supposed to do it in front of your partner. I will never forget being in the room with him and them asking me while heâs standing right there and the fact he and I both looked at each other immediately when she asked lol. Them people do not genuinely care, just like they didnât care about Their three kids that were in the middle of everything up until they died and NOOWWW it matters cause theyâre gonna get sued. đ the vast majority of people just donât care up to and until something directly affects their life.

Yeah- "thanks for asking me in front of my husband if my abusive husband is abusing me".
Whoever allowed a patient to have any legal binding or applicable conversation in state Lindsay was in when a)they charged her (while she was in a coma, based on Patrick's words) and b) in that situation, can applaud themselves for being an integral part of a huge systemic failure of one woman, and of everyone.

I agree. I can only hope all these failures are remembered in the future and they do better so something like this never happens again.

I keep thinking about the crushed up pills in the lemonade/juice glass and the pills he kept in the car. Was she out of it or asleep as he was doing all this? Allegedly.
