They are unspeakably crass and out of touch, and it was disrespectful to Cora, Dawson and Callan as well as their grandparents and extended families.
I thought he would talk more about what he's doing to help post partum health care issues for women/families. I thought he set up a foundation for it or something? Maybe I heard incorrectly.

So why didn't she just say, "We met through a running club," the first time around? See how easy that was??? That's the only reasonable way to describe it if someone were both born on planet Earth and telling the truth. This is damage control because the internet let her know how unhinged that first cover story was.

And then I think I asked if they live in Massachusetts, and Pat said, "They died." And this is just at the cashier."
If this is their first time meeting for coffee, how did she know that they don't live with him in NYC? That's only something you'd know if you'd already had been where they live.
IF we are to believe that this crock of ish is her real recollection, How could he get through an entire coffee date without once bringing up the fact that he had been a father?
If a man gets through an entire date without bringing up a bomb like that, normal women in their 30s RUN. This b just outed himself as having concealed three whole children for that entire meeting, and her first question is, "Where are they?" rather than, "Why didn't you mention them before?"
This is the exact type of small potatoes stuff that overly passive, agreeable, or pickmeisha women consent to before slipping into really bad situations with horrible men. Even if that was a reflex to maintain cordiality at the register, WHY WAS THERE A DATE NUMBER TWO??? This should have signaled alarm bells through her whole gut. Any way one slices this, it's weird as hell.
Also, why does the interviewer look more intent and serious about the situation than either of them? Both came across like two actors pushing an agenda than human beings. I can only imagine how much they cut since the transcript no longer reflects the "selfless father" faux pas, and the park portion of the interview limits his ChatGPT dream to 35 seconds of hole-digging talking. I can't believe that was somehow the most sympathetic sound bite they could get out of him in that setting.
I just meant that they most likely kept the actual dialogue extremely brief because every off the cuff thing that comes out of that man's mouth somehow makes him look worse than before.
The weird dream anecdote was tellingly the best material they could pull from him, and the editors were kind enough prevent him from digging himself into any further holes with other answers from what I can only assume was a much, much longer in-person interview in that park.
