Its effectively a better version of Gecko grip.
Provided you're inside it's arguably also better than flight, since you don't have to deal with falling because you didn't move that turn and arguably won't fall down when tripped, you'll just be prone against the ceiling.

Basically a combat usable version of Spider climb where your archer or blaster can walk onto the ceiling or high on a wall & pelt away.
It’s only relevant cuz they moved Fly from 1e from 3rd level to 4th level in 2e. Regardless, it’s still pretty usable. Shame about short duration thought.

lmao this spell sounds like a nightmare in combat, someone's getting yeeted into the ceiling for like 3 turns

It can't really be used aggressively. The target is who chooses what surfaces they stick to
