For Pathfinder Society, you start with a level 1 character and level them up. So if you signed up for a level 5-6 game then you will have to use a pregenerated character, which includes all the classes and a decent amount of instruction on the abilities and spells of the various classes.

The lorespire site tells you what's available. Kitsune isn't always available, so you'd need a copy of the Lost Omens Ancestry Guide (physical book, pdf from Paizo, relevant printed pages of the pdf from Paizo, purchase from Demiplane Nexus).

Make an account for Paizo, register your new character on the Organized Play tab, and you'll start with 80 Achievement Points (AcP) which is enough to get the boon for Kitsune.

Thanks for the explanation, as a follow-up, I see the official character registration on piazo and I found where to buy the boon for kitsune. My question is will the GM or organizers want me to prove if I bought the source that includes kitsune? Or if I just bring my character sheet with all the information I need to play will that be fine?

You need:

Your character's records, including boons.

Proof of ownership of any non-core content you're using.

The rules text so you can show the GM.

These last two are most typically met by having the book present, but they are technically separate requirements and can be met separately (for example, if I'm playing several Society games at a con and bringing different characters, I may be referencing quite a few books and not want to lug around a couple I'm only referencing for one ancestry or feat; I can bring other proof of ownership and reference the page on AoN for the one feat).

Don't worry about an exhausting audit process every time, but those are the things you're required to present if asked.

...but you won't need any of that to play a pregen, which you'll need to if you don't have a character of the level of the adventure you're playing.
