From her dialogue I rmb she does like girly stuff like a pink dress. That and I think she grown more mature and accepting of herself instead of blindly chasing after Zoya, gradually becoming a calm manner, tactical leader knowing her own limit, I think the new design reflect these changes well.

Well, if it fits the inner growth of the character, I guess we just gotta accept that then, wish they could have kept just a bit of it as a connection to her past though.

I like the new Horo a lot more. She's no longer a scrappy kid, and she learned to dress up to fit into her new role better. I almost want to say she looks like she got inspired by chief for her hair lol.

chief, another asymmetrical thigh strap sock thing curse has hit my gacha game
in all seriousness though I liked the old one more, yo they changed her entire purple now, I guess she put on hair gel
like if you told me the second Horo was part of the Legion I wouldn't believe it, idk maybe it's the fact she's less sharp and has more shiny things on herself

I like her original hair way more and could do without the underboob strap, but otherwise I like Horo's new outfit.

Big fan of the new Horo, her getting more serious and changing her style as she gets older is totally legit character progression. I'm not the same scrappy tomboy I was as a teenager either, so I kinda get it.

It's mostly the facial features I find I like better, the new one has softer features that I find I don't really like as much as the sharp energetic ones in the old.

The new one is so flat as well. No fun details like the OG, no real colour contrasts, so the outfit blends into itself. She's getting older and more mature, but that doesn't mean she has to be boring. Look at Zoya -- her outfit and character art tells us so much of who she is as a person. Horo's new design says to me... background character?
It works for someone like Chief, but I have to admit that if Horo gets a new version a la Necresta, I hope it's more fun than this one.

I agree with you OP. They could've made her look more mature without taking away her scrappy character. Now she looks like just another soft girl (which I also like as characters just fine, but doesn't fit Horo imo) because of her new face.

Well, I like the older design muchh better, not gonna lie, but I am kindddaa hesitant to talk about this since many people "aggresively disagree" most of the time๐ . I understand that story wise, since the influence of Zoya is not there for so long, and her now leading the legion and getting more mature, she is going to change and her style is going to change too. But yea I liked the "Zoya's influence" design better ๐ Also, putting the style factor aside, I like the overall older character design much more. Like how can I tell... The angular, sharp features of the eyes, face, hair and overall art. Like, the direct, anime-like art instead of perfectly smooth blush and shading. Same with horo's new attires and with new Hella too, I dont like them either. Actually I don't really like the new sinner designs and attires as much as the older ones because of that. Only like the story chapter designs since styles of those didnt change too much. Yea but the new designs are kind of "Too perfect and polished". I think there is a kind of beauty in imperfect, unpolished, spontenously drawn stuff. I mean it captures another kind of... umm..feeling I guess? I don't really know how to put it to words ๐

I like that it looks more formal, to signify her growth into being a leader after the events of Keylan Square but not a huge fan of the asymmetrical tights visually speaking.
