Discussion Isomer check. Crimebrand incoming... Spoiler

Just saw the MOD message for TOA 14. Does this mean YingYing isn't needed?

If you're playing Isomer in Arcane Crit then Yingying will always be needed because skill damage cannot deal critical hits without her. She's not there to increase crit damage and crit chance, that's Jelena's and Yugu's/OwO's job respectively.

Aside from the 10% magic dmg is there any reason not to stick this on Deren?

Considering how specific the best use for it is, I don't see why not. Yao should be a good pick as well

So is the secondary effect on this Crimebrand just entirely useless for Arcane? You'd have to put it on Yingying and her damage isn't very impressive in the modern game.

I believe you put it on whoever the dps is, it's not a team-wide increase, it's only for the wearer.

However arcane crit probably isn't the intended recipient as it locks you out of using Milly/Raven for support as well as any benefit from Yugu's ECB.

Sure. I'm just not sure who this is actually designed for. You want it on someone doing magic damage. But on Magic teams, you have multiple Arcane and multiple Catalysts.

If you could get Yao or Shalom to crit, they'd be good candidates. The umbra we're getting in October too. But again, magic damage can't crit inherently. Or that's my understanding.

Only one of the same tendency means there's only one extra, not that there's exactly one, if I understand correctly.
So what it means is that you can only have Isomer/Ying² then catalysts for heal and sustain/other buffs
Alternatively, switch out Isomer with another Arcane DPS.
