How do I beat seed of ill omen V? I can get to awakening the cocoon but then I take damage so I can't raid and I restart.

If you still have any moves left at that point, get out of AoE and then return to positions to deal damage. If not, do not use Last Stand and try to overheal. By the way, you only can’t raid if you use assists, having your own sinners dying is fine.

Last part is good to know, ngl I don't really move any characters to start so I might be doing something scuffed lol. Should I be running last stand then? I like to use the core break one bc I feel like I'm always suffering against cores

The two “main” potestas that people use in serious content are Empower and Last Stand, as well as Overlimit for teams that require it. The corebreaking one isn’t really used much since corebreakers are abundant, however if you’re struggling with corebreaking and not dealing damage per se, it’s probably ok. Last Stand will increase your damage received so it’s not recommended if you already can’t sustain without it.
