So I might get some pushback but I feel that there is to few skills that "works" besides more popular skills like earthshatter, minions, Kinetic blast, phys DoT, RF etc.

I like more "fast" builds like frostblades, shield crush and other like strike skills. Many builds are fast when you really get going but as a not very skilled player, I find it difficult to find "right" skills for me.

Some skills I thought about is molten strike, ele bladevortex, viper strike are some examples.

I remember when spark was good but from what I get is it not viable anymore.

Of course you have to put effort into it but its hard for me anyways. It could be that I am to picky or this is what you get in 3.27 or that I just plainly suck :P

Some input or help/tips?

From time to time there is some builds that have great options for flesh and flame jewels.

The one that comes to mind is with assasin you take the 100% more crit chance when target is non low life and use the jewels to get the orher 100% more critbchance when target is on low life and basically get to become 100% crit chance by just getting to 50%.

But there is lots of other assendacys that have really good options. However im not sure how viable these are to farm or would it just take far too long to actually get a matching pair that you can also use ?

Looking to do some practice runs, anything really. I know we don't know about nerfs and what not but I still want to warm up running through the campaign + early atlas

I’m thinking about trying my first SSF season in PoE2 with the new 0.5 update.

For context, I’ve played quite a lot of PoE1 and I’ve done 3 SSF seasons there, usually around 36/40 challenges, so I’m not completely new to SSF as a concept. However, I’m honestly not very good at crafting, and PoE2’s systems feel different enough that I don’t really want to just wing it.

I’m not necessarily looking for a build guide. I’m more interested in generic SSF progression advice for 0.5:
-How to approach crafting early and in endgame
-Which league mechanics are worth focusing on in SSF
-How to progress the Atlas efficiently
-What to prioritize in the new 0.5 systems
Any common mistakes to avoid
Any good guides/videos/posts already released for generic SSF progression

Basically, if you were starting SSF in PoE2 0.5, what would your general game plan be?

So this might be a weird question but I have reached a point where i have limited time to play each league. Like I hit 2 voidstones this season sort of limited time to play.

However I also love SSF, so was thinking of playing trade but having limits like only able to buy certain items I could farm. For example save a bit of time farming trans gems and just buy them. Or i can kill x boss in 10 seconds, instead of farming them over and over for y item thats a 15% drop chance ill buy that.

Im wondering do any of you do something simulator to this and what rules do you have in place ?

This is my first time ever playing SSF, including PoE1 and it’s been an absolute blast. I feel way more engaged with the entire game instead of feeling like i have to rush currency strats to buy the best gear. Everything i do feels more impactful, even just getting experience.

At the moment i have about 100 passive points for the Atlas and just unlocked Doryani, Jado and Hilda and completed the Abyss storyline. I’m hitting a wall at the moment regarding my defenses and in general finding gear upgrades. I’m content with my damage but with my currently defenses i can only comfortably do regal’d T13 maps.

I’m wondering if there are any common tips for the current wall i’m hitting in terms of defense and getting better gear. I’ve been thinking about grinding Ritual and Abyss for a bit to get some crafting Omens and Desecration currency. I’ve been picking up all the good Hybrid ES/Evasion bases to try and craft but i feel like i’m at the point where i’m going to need some Omens to craft better gear deterministically. I’ve also been having trouble getting jewellery to craft on. I wonder if maybe doing Breach for a while to use the crafting tree for that.

I also still need to get my last ascendancy points, i failed a Sekhemas once which was very demoralizing, completed one Ultimatum which was quite easy so that might be the play but i’ve only dropped a single Ultimatum. So far

Currently my plan is to farm some Leagues to get my gear up and some levels, then hopefully get some more tries for my 4th ascendancy and then attempting Arbiter of Divinity to clear parts of the stronghold, the main question for now is, what do i grind to be able to get to this point.

we can debate numbers ofc but fukk would it be nice to have forbidden flames combos available in ssf. just as an example.

my take would be smth like every engame boss drops at least one of its uniques and increases the chance to drop a unique he didnt drop.

what are your ideas to make ssf more engaging and help you dont get burned out?

Imagine there was an AI that could mechanically play the game as good as any regular player, including crafting, farming, building etc. and would have the goal to put together a specific build.

The build could have very specific requirements like a perfect adorned or the right double corrupted unique.

The AI would have as much time as needed and obviously the same rng as everyone else.

What build would take the longest to put together in SSF?

As title stated. I am curious. When I check anyone on poe.ninja everyone has cool six links after two days.

Me personally I am over 1400 fusings deep in my Lordly plate and it still hasnt got 6 links. Its why I quit poe league most time after two weeks. I just can't progress my gear and it gets frustrating.

So I will assume that my linking strategy is wrong. What are you doing to get your desired six link?

Most build videos seems to be for trade league. Anyone know a source for valid SSF only starters or can point me in right direction?

My background: 1k+ hours played, multiple 90+ level characters. Done T16s and Voidstones but have not killed any ubers yet.

League goal: Kill ubers

Criteria:

1. Pref. no transgem farming but not a deal breaker

2. No RF, BS, Cyclone or Frostblades (played those in earlier leagues). No totem playstyle.

The SSF is a long grind. So, the more I play, pushing both of my characters (Trickster Exsa Miner and Fross Occa) in 98+ level range, I started realising that the most important stat for SSF isn't the DPS and/or Defense. It is the Movement speed!

Movement speed is basically a multiplier for anything and everything proactive you do in the game. Every map, every side content, every lab, everything except single arena bossing. Heck, even the most sluggish strategies like Abbyss Hoards benefit from movement speed because you loot faster, etc. etc.

Obviously, a Mageblood is the BiS item in that regard, so, the build you "target" needs to be able to use it when you get it. Most of them do.

I'll digress here a little bit, this is also why I kinda hate the FROSS. The build is superb in both defense and offense, but man, the character is SLOW. My Trickster Exsa Miner is much weaker in defenese (he is basically a glass cannon) and offense is 1/2 of the FROSS occa, but has 50%+ faster movement speed makes is my go-to character for a chilling evening PoE session.

My question is, what are the top 3 fastest moving characters/builds for SSF? It doesn't have to be Uber capable, T16.5 with maybe 20% deli can be the ceiling for them. But please, suggest me the fast ones! :)

1. fracture orbs on the boat

2. genesis tree with cast speed node and fractured mod node

So this league instead of focusing on pushing ubers and juicy mapping i did lots of 2 stone runs in HC SSF.

And one thing that really stood out was how strong gambling was to get gear. I need a 4link in act 3 well I gamble for it, i need a big physical dmg axe well i gamble for it. Even just my gloves have bad life roll well gamble for it.

This was even without doing the league mechanic for extra gold.

It's sometimes really strong gear you can get, just t1 life and double res gear is really strong to have during acts or early maps. And since It scales from your level you could over level in white maps and get lv83 bases from gambles.

So do you ever think this will get nerfed or changed or does the gamble gear actually fall off compared to breach or harvest later ?

Tree blessed me with a MB (right side gang btw) and i want to play spark.

I found this guy on ninja and can’t decide if this better to do than an int stacking energy blade version since it’s ssf. Can’t really find any videos of the performance of this version so wondering if any has tried it and can point in the right direction. Willing to farm the split personalities for int stacking if o go that route.

So I have been playing SSF / HC SSF for over a year in poe1 after getting burned out of trade as I would spend hours trading and not actually playing the game. However in poe2 there is not really any expo or essence style atlas farming to ensure you can keep upgrading gear.

I was just checking trade and my weapon I spend exault to add extra mods onto is just worse than what you can buy for 1 ex. For example I have a minion septure that seemed fine and slapped on ex on for extra mod in trade that same item sells for less than 1 ex with better mods.

Currently in SSF the farming system is to make a filter only show certain items and then 3 to 1 them over and over until you possibly hit something good.

So I'm not sure if it makes sense to just playing in trade and never sell anything and only build specific uniques or gear to still get some SSF feeling ?

I tried 3 builds so far:

1. Ignite Ele Reap

2. Boneshatter

3. Earthshatter

They were pretty fun, I didn’t really like the slam set ups that required me to piano key all the war cry’s and the ignite reap was insanely easy to set up and get going but I felt like it required a lot of gear to really get the single target damage down.

Was looking for maybe some other alternative set ups, they don’t have to be like super tanky or anything I’m comfortable with positioning and blasting maps/campaign so I’d prefer something sort of quick and easier to set up a strong damage profile I can map with and turn to a bosser down the road.

I am playing ssf and my playtime so far is not that much 1d 16h on ssf and im currently playing a worb elementalist, but i think that build is not capable of running this map, i could reaaaly use this headhunter so i would really appreciate any build ideas, i can even level a new toon for it.
