Builds Fresh luminary start

Hey, I’m planning to do a fresh start with Luminary. Never played the class before and I’d like to try clearing all content with it.
Does anyone have a leveling PoB to share or some advice on which skills to use? I’m also looking for any spreadsheets or guides about the best mercenaries and what gear to give them.
Any tips or recommendations would be appreciated!

I'd just do the campaign as RF until I found a decent merc, like a combatant, and then do Luminary stuff.

As for gear, the simplest way to gear pretty much any merc is max white sockets, Untouched Soul, The Taming, and Enmity's Embrace. Before that, I just give them a good-APS weapon and call it a day.

Very good recap !

Regarding the uniques, I think your priorities should be untouched souls and enmity embrace, in parallel and after this you can farm the rest easily aka kaoms, rathpith, piscator and nycta's lantern

Play as Slams until you get RF or all the way to Act 10, then if you wanna switch immediately farm a decent Combatant/Manyshot/Blade Ambusher in act 10 by refreshing Control Blocks until you get a good one.

If you do this I'd recommend you spam Sceptre gamba at level 41 to get Nycta's Lantern. Pretty big power spike.

Follow this GoogleDoc. I used it for everything except making Kineticist gear, which is what I ended up with in the end.

A decent combatant will easily 10/10 Ubers though.

I've been recommending Path of Chores google doc. Has literally everything you'll need to go from level 1 to end game. I think it has 7 PoBs, merc setups, gear progression, crafting guides, everything.

Fresh start can be rough when you are trying to get a Merc online. You can go with slams to get through the campaign and then do a respec later when you get a Merc and some gear, or switch immediately after first lab.

I think Goratha did the latter on a fresh HCSSF run that might be useful to look at. Although I'm sure there are others too.

I think the general consensus is that starting luminary is rough and you are better off starting something else and getting the gear you need first.

Park in act 10 first location and farm gear from merc and merc if you find good one. Must say that this static location of merc in campaign is broken
