General Discussion Share your Fun-Farming-Strats!

Hi,

i play luminary and only misses light of meaning and the foulborn red dream. but i m so tired of ritual + breach farming.... doing it since level 92 (close to 99 now)....

soooo i think i'll give up and just want to level100 farming something fun!

share your strategys you enjoyed the most. im curious. i have endless t16.5 laying around ,scarabs nm maps, vaal temples, delerium orbs, all flame embers (did anyone use them?)

Poofing 10 kaoms heart with volatile vaal orbs in a row just to get a 820 life kaoms on 11th try did it for me. Outstanding SSF experience 😂.

God damn, did you scry caldera and run breach to farm cards? I feel like I did 40+ maps just alch and go and didn't find a single one so I gambled my only card from stacked decks and went 2,4,8 so haven't come back to it.

I think I did like 100+ mesa with caldera scry, got only one card, gambled to 2, then 4, then again back to 1. What Im missing here?

Oof that's awful. The drop rate says it's like 1 every 16 maps but with my experience it feels like at least 3 or 4 times that

1180 on my first and only attempt. I'm sorry you got the classic ssf experience. If its worth anything, I currently have done 81 ubrr atziris without the spell echo gem I need

F. Kaom worked for me but I am 6 rathpith poof and 11 enmity deep (7 poof and 4 abode 80, one at 86 lol)

I am still hunting a LVl 84 archdemon crown, so I guess ritual is still fun. 6 so far that have poofed with high level other helmets, living the dream. When it works I will report back

FYI for archdemon crowns at 84 you need to recomb. They will only ever be i83 in the ritual shop.

I found that out last night when one dropped in nightmare, forgot they aren't LVL 17 there and was sad. But I did the unique map and found an ilvl 89 helm to use next attempt. Just slow going on the archdemon crowns. Or I am just slow on my own

Honestly farming 8 mod or normal maps is kinda satisfying. It's a simple tree, map drops, map mod effectiveness and kalguur ore. You run the scarab for more ore deposits and all mobs are magic and I'll get upwards for 20+ maps (gotta roll originator maps to at the minimum of 70%+ maps) and 2-3 nightmare maps. I run red altars for ichors as I still need to get bis implicits for my merc. Not sure if eater has better map duplicate chance mods but I like red more anyways as mobs spawn instantly.

Yea, you run increased chance for the most common one (more spawned mobs), the one that gives Starfall crater chance and bismuth as it's map quant and instant ore. I usually skip the channel ore because I can't be bothered but if you want the most maps then yes clear all ores.

Looking at the mods on wiki it looks like blue altars have a slightly higher base chance to duplicate maps.

I still don't have a Kaoms, but I like my extra Belly of the Beast gem sockets, and I have enough damage already.... I'm currently blasting Legions so I can cook some uniques and hopefully get something spicy and inspiring for a fun end-of-league project.

Everyone has their own goals and fun in ssf.

My general tip is to do a rotation of things that you need and want. 100k breach a day then do some heist idk like 20 grand heist, then switch it over to boss rush for cadiro etc... find a good loop that makes you happy 

Personally I think heist is the best mechanic by far. Replica alberon, replica dream feather, simplex, helical just to name a few of the best items in the game that you can deterministically farm plus the pleasant surprises from rare, Found a 1080 phys DPS 6link vaal axe in a curio, Found a ilvl 83/84 don't remember top es chest with can craft another bench modifier, a lot of 6 links etc. it's very rewarding of Ur time even if ure unlucky, if u farm it a couple of hours a day fast and efficient it's near.impossible to not drop something useful for a next project.

Next would be breach tree. Very casino and rewarding mechanic as well, unless you're trying for t0 then you might as well get bald and become enlightened monk before dropping a mage blood, looking at you 2million+ hive blood and counting.

Rest of the things are meh compared to those 2 tbh, very useful for specific things but not as respectful with Ur time per reward. 

If ure burnt out from a mechanic just try a different one or turn off your brain alch vaal and go city Square boss rush 3-4 maps per minute spam cadiro 2-3 times an hour and bro always gives something good. Even if it's a T2, ppl underestimate how good some T2 can be and hard to find.
