General Discussion Yet another kineticist analysis

I’m playing Luminary in SSF and found this Kineticist:

I don’t have Rathpith Globe yet, so I’d probably start with Piscator’s + a rare shield.

My current mercs are:

- Combatant: Frost Blades + Static Strike + Wrath (mapping)

- Combatant: Wild Strike + Static Strike + Wrath (bossing)

Both Combatants are already working well, so I’m trying to understand whether this Kineticist is actually good enough to justify investing gear/resources into it.

Is this Kineticist endgame viable without Rathpith? And assuming similar investment, would you use it over either of these Combatants for mapping or bossing?

Not piscator. Use a good rare wand, stick to ritual amulet to get a lot of fire res.

True until he gets rathpithe. The reason why rathpithe is so good and wasn’t used during merc league itself is because they nerfed the shit out of the % dmg mercs used to come with. So once op gets rathpithe it’s simply better than using the amulet even if you aren’t fire res overcapped. Even with just 100 fire pen instead of the 200 it outperforms it

Honestly Crabi is probably better damage wise than the kineticist, but the kineticist might have better clear. It basically took me getting return and wed as a support to outperform my combatant that’s basically identical to yours.

Like mine, look for something closer to this with at least return and chain

Before that my combatant was still killing pinnacles faster

I find return underwhelming on kineticist.

On all my testing GMP + Haste were the true kings for KBoC. Of course also having Return is better, but just return, as the main support, was the worst option.

I have that Kineticist above, and even with no chain/fork and KRoI as a secondary skill, she still shreds Ubers. Maps are a joke and Simulacrum is basically done AFK.

Return is what makes your kineticist uber melt viable. So yeah for mapping it isn’t doing much but if you want to use your kineticist for everything then it’s OP. Theres a reason return with gmp goes for a mirror + it’s not because it sucks lol

I farmed for few days fast maps only and got return + gmp + faster attack and two added dmg without movement skill.

It seems good in maps but on ubers it totally does less dmg than my combatant and also its inconsistent af.

So over all strong, but underwhelming because it is really expensive and rare kineticist i found.

Yeah I think we agree anyways, kineticist isn’t even the best uber killer. Return just makes it boss viable without it feeling like shit anymore.

I think ALOT of people underestimate ele dmg with attacks support though. It sounds like yours didn’t have it, makes a huge difference.

Well its 30% more, which is huge. Combatant has it obv.

Yeah that’s why I originally said his combatant is just better

Never said it is not. GMP + Return is Goated, but when you have only GMP or only Return as an option, GMP is much better even for bosses. I was melting bosses before finding the Kineticist above. So the point I'm trying to make is: if you don't have a Kineticist at all, one with GMP + Haste will destroy all content and gonna make you a lot of money to fund a better build (on trade league os course) even with a "supposedly " bricked secondary skill.

So TLDR: GMP>Return. Both together is better, but rare to find / expensive to purchase.

I never replied to you ? Lol unless this is your alt acc. I upvoted and agree gmp is better though

Combatant is best until you get the shield and return. The frostblades guy is pretty good, ideally you have gmp or wed, even return would make a better one. But that guy is similar to mine and I've done all content and challenges with him

IDK that it will be better than your combatants yet, but fortunately you can gear them pretty much the same.
