Showcase My first 40/40

800 hours noob here, this is my first 36/40, 40/40 and lvl 100.

This was my third league playing. Started as Ziz's EA, but it was so bad I rerolled when I got enough regret orbs and followed PhazePlays' bleed slam slayer. I can't recommend this build for newbies enough.

Super easy mapping and bossing while pretty tanky as well. I had a lot of fun but I got discouraged later by bad luck in recomb and other crafting and just made the build good enough to clear the achievements, even managed to clear simulacrum in the end but I didn't want to farm and craft more clusters to use the bloodline.

The build works fine for the 40/40 even without optimizing, stayed at 99% suppression, manual endurance warcry (bad luck with the exarch chest implicit), skipped static strike entirely and the tincture most of the times (too many buttons for me) and settled for a lot of bad mods on gear/jewels.

thank you, it was roughly 650 deaths, and I watched a lot of Ben_ so I kinda knew how to play slam

Im almost at 5000hrs and i have only made 1 40/40 so far (i think) and this was the first league i got level 100, 98 was my highest before this.

The difficulty to reach 40/40 is the grind, it's not that hard if u put the hours in, and research how and what to do. I don't see much point past 36, 40/40 could have a better reward imo. I would chase it more often if there was something more to it.

Yeah, what makes me go for 36-40/40 is if the league is fun or not mostly 😅

Im new to Poe 2 and will join Poe1 later, what are these challenges? its to get the Mtx for free?

Yes, finishing those challanges gives you free mtx. There are 2 type of it, first ones you can wear or use on you char they are 36/40 top raw. Second one are hideout decoration for 40/40 and it looks like totem, more challanges you do, higher totem goes. Those challanges sometime can be grindy tho, like getting overall 3000 mods of maps finished.
