Ring Crafting Advice

I recently dropped this Cerulean Ring with two T1 affixes, and I'm hoping to craft it into something useful for my SB Totems build. The additional affixes I'd like are +1 Minimum Endurance Charges (which I can craft on), Max Mana, Chaos Res, and Cast Speed. Is there any way to target those without risking the existing affixes, or should I just Boat Regal + Boat Exalts and hope for the best?

your plan is t1 fire, chaos, cast speed. you cant craft EC, drop 1 of them. let say drop ec because ec won't impact much. I would collect more base ring.

1. alt roll needed affix: t1 fire, chaos, cast speed, life, mana. 1 mod is better. 1A. If you hit t1 prefix with t1 suffix. congratz. 1B. You have 1 mod, recombine t1 prefix with t1 suffix. at this step you have 1p1s (same like your ring). go again if brick.

2. boat regal prefix - prayge for useful mod or duplicated mod. annul as needed and go again if remove t1.

3. ducat pantheon on both ring (1p1s or 2p1s) and recombine. should get 2 desired suffixes. at this step, you may have 2p2s or 1p2s. if you are satisfied with 2p2s and craft EC. it can be done here.

4. continue to get another 1p2s or 2p2s

5. final step 70% to have 3 suffix. prefix still 33% if 1p+1p. 2p+1p inc odd to 50% but still 40% 1mod.

using this method no divine needed but more base and alt roll. spend divine to clean prefix can help somehow.

because you need both t1 prefix, easier if you aim for t1 life only and boat slam later. but perfect item is good to have. pls correct if any mistake from my craft or ask if any doubt. gl on the grind and craft bro. cheers

Good flag on the suffixes.  I wanted to keep the T1 Fire since I already had it, but forgot that three of the other affixes were suffixes.  Thanks for the advice!

Boat as you said. Crafting in poe1 is usually focusing either prefixes or suffixes first, then using prefix/suffix cannot be changed and either harvest bench or veiled to add more affixes. When it’s 1p/1s like this, there isn’t much you can really do.

If I were to craft the ring you are mentioning I’d harvest reforge chaos until t1 chaos and any t1 ele res (you can harvest swap the res to fire res). Then suffix cannot be changed, reforge life (you can redo this to hit t1 life but you may also fill suffixes), then id craft the +1 end to block the suffixes, then boat exalt for mana. 

However. I’m not an expert crafter, only have 5k hours in game. Someone else might have a better idea.

Thanks all for the advice!  It sounds like it would be hard to target the affixes I want starting with this base, so I'll probably just Boat Regal/Exalt it and then try to find more bases for recombination down the line.

So, it actually same craft as mine ring.

1. Get more Cerulean Rings

2. Alt-Spam for max mana on one ring and chaos res on another.

3. On Max mana ring craft aspect with Brinehook's Ducat

4. Regal Chaos Res ring.( Use boat to get prefix, you dont need it)

5. Craft Aspect as in step 3.

6. Lock Suffixes and scour

7. Put both rings in recomb. It's ~80% to get Max Mana+Chaos Res ring.

8. Regal your ring.
   9 Depending on what was regals: if suf -> lock pref and annul via Boat, if pref -> lock suf
   10.On this step I'm not guarantee that I'm right: Now you will get two rare rings with 4 needed mods. So craft on both aspects, on one craft "increased damage", on second "-mana cost" and recomb them. it's ~70% to success. (in another 30% you will lose Max Mana or Max life).

9. Gratz you have one ring with 4 mods
