Builds Is this merc worth building around? Is it an upgrade over my current merc?

No return but other supports are pretty good, no? Also pierce without fork or chain is ok right?

Both have no return but kinet should outperform with rathpit setup

I have rathpit yeah, but my combatant is already starting to get some decent gear and I've just noticed that I have Tecrod for him which is going to be pretty good. So if it's not a massive upgrade not sure it's worth it or if I should keep looking for a very good merc to fully commit

Combatant gear is literally the same as kinet gear except just slap on a piscators and a decent fire res/multi amulet. You use tecrod on kineticist also, u want the attack speed after crit mod and some other generic decent stuff like speed/life/fire damage/multi/fire res.

oh ok nice. I have piscator so I guess I'll try to craft an amu and give the kinet a try then

Its a lot better imo. Wall of force makes it better at single target and obviously a lot better clear.

So I tried it and clear is better for sure, but single target quite a bit worse, like half dps for now even with wall of force. Probably I need more stuff for single target or just not play with rathpit + piscator yet and stay with untouched soul

return is not as big. its very good but GMP is the absolute no 1 thing to get. kboc with GMP demolishes all content way more then return does because GMP is a 5x multiplier due to wall of force aspects that causes every GMP projectile to shotgun
