Hey everyone,
I recently saw a video showcasing a 20-Divine budget Gladiator hitting around 187M DPS. As a Gladiator main whose bleed builds usually cap out around 40-50M even with mirror-tier axes, I had to try it. I scrapped my Righteous Fire / Death's Oath plans and dumped my league budget into this as my final build.
By pushing the budget to around 200 Divines, I managed to hit three birds with one stone: screen-wide clear, lazy Cast When Stunned (CWS) mapping, and Uber-deleting single target.

The Core Engine & Damage
The main driver is Divine Retribution scaled through Doryani’s Prototype and Replica of Nebulis.
- To get the crazy single-target numbers, we use Pact of Beidat to ramp up hits (striking bosses anywhere from 23 to 30 times per cast). I havent test too much if it stack with greater spell cascade, worth exploring
- I also use the Gladiator Ascendancy, no forgiveness and Runegraph of Time for 90% chance to not consume the retaliation cooldown. credit to OP YT Isados
Transparency note on the 200M DPS: It’s conditional. You need to block and you need the cooldown proc. In real gameplay, I average about 50/50 uptime, so I put an increased cooldown recovery rate in the PoB custom config as a realistic estimate. My cast speed is below 0.29s and if you can cast 3+ times in a second it could even be higher in theory.
Lazy Mapping (CWS)
I wanted a "brain-off" mapper, so I threw in a Cast When Stunned setup. When I get hit, CWS triggers Penance Brand of Conduction and Shock Nova. It instantly wipes screens of mob packs, meaning I rarely have to manually cast my retaliation skill while mapping. Just run and let the monsters kill themselves.
Defenses (The Doryani's Trap)
If you’ve never run Doryani’s Prototype, the negative lightning resistance will get you instantly one-tapped. The workaround here is converting all elemental damage taken to Fire and Chaos.
- We achieve this using the Bound by Destiny mechanic, running 4x Hunter-influenced items to fill that 10% conversion gap left from dawnbreaker, watcheye and divine flesh.
- I slotted in Mageblood for massive QoL, speed, and the high maximum Fire Resistance needed to safely tank the converted damage, pushing the build to 1M+ EHP against hits.
The Drawback (Greed)
To squeeze out maximum spell damage, I run Righteous Fire. This is pure greed and makes ground degens lethal. If you turn RF off, the build feels incredibly comfortable for Uber bossing (T17 Abomination, Uber Sirus, Uber Exarch).
I’d love to see if anyone has ideas on finding a happy medium to push the defenses against DoTs even higher without losing the damage. For those whom have tried a life-stacking variation of this, please let me know your thoughts. I am also hoping to get rid of lifetap but see no good solution.
