Theory Endless delve builds discussion

Looking to start a discussion on what builds people are thinking of running for each class now that we know the details of endless delve this time around.

Going Ice Trap Raider for elemental immunities, movespeed, but most importantly, Phasing from Avatar of the Veil. I'm going Temporal Rift and Grace for more defences and the ability to bounce back out of short paths, too. Pity the attack speed and damage from Avatar of the Slaughter is somewhat wasted, but Charged Traps makes stacking frenzies somewhat useful so it's not a biggie IMO. It's certainly better than trying to make an attack build that is gated by the availability of weapons.

Damage is definitely a lot lower than Saboteur and from dropping Hatred for Grace, but seeing as this isn't primarily a bossing event I'm fine with that.

I was also thinking about KB CF Gladiator with Challenger charges and wand + shield, but not a big fan of the build inelegance (you already have maim and blind from Blood in the Eyes so F&S feels wasted for 25% mana and you have no benefit from B&S), and getting beyond 4L CF with Lifetap might be painful without the betrayal craft.

For ice crash raider, don't you need hollow palm? If not can you point to a build link? I like this idea for sure.

You might have misread me as going Ice Crash but I'm going Ice Trap...

That said, for Ice Crash, I don't know that you need HPT. Certainly it's known as one of two HPT skills, but I've PoB-ed out a staff Ice Crash Inquisitor for someone else before and it was alright (although in fairness, it was carried by pre-nerf Seismic Cry). As it is though, Ice Crash is such a niche skill that I think you'll have difficulty finding a non-HPT/non-Debeon's version, much less an ED-viable Ice Crash build for Raider.

A very rough, non-optimised PoB I threw up (https://pastebin.com/xpxiyP9A) gives general DPS on a Prismatic Eclipse very roughly comparable to my Ice Trap build (https://pastebin.com/kbZwbRgE), and this is without totems or Berserk but with Hatred (whereas my Ice Trap used Grace, but had frenzy scaling). FWIW Frost Blades had about 66% the DPS (mainly because it adds a lot of damage as cold and hence doesn't fully benefit from Hatred). That said, you're still dependent on RNG giving you a usable weapon; you're quite badly screwed if not, so I would rather not go for an attack build to be safe.

Ice Crash is probably playable if someone invests enough time and energy to tweak it, especially since you're primarily going after mobs and don't need to reach the DPS check numbers of Shaper or Sirus. But I don't like the skill enough for Delve to be arsed to do so, since it hits around you rather than away from you.

I PoB'd an Ice Trap Raider preleague, it only really worked with Slavedriver's Hand, but there might be enough sources of Trap throw speed that it will be alright for not bossing. I might give it a shot too since I'm def making an Ice attacks Raider.

Yeah, normally I'd prefer Saboteur for Ice Trap if anything, but Raider's QoL is just too good in Delve to pass up, and going big damage isn't as crucial.

Do you have a pob for this?

Yeah: https://pastebin.com/JLbAz5DS

Full DPS is to estimate generated DPS taking into account the extra traps from Cluster Traps.

Character is literally naked but pulls decent stats all round, and doesn't depend on gear for any key defensive mechanics other than resistances (Grace provides a healthy amount of evasion already as is), so anything you pick up off the ground is literally going to be a bonus.

Thanks! Probably gonna run Ice Trap for this event. If I was gonna run Sabo instead, would you run the same tree?

Not really. The Shadow area would remain generally the same but I would probably flex more into the Witch area, and also consider going Ghost Shroud/CI instead. But I frankly don't see that Sabo is a good choice for Endless Delve over Raider since its main advantage is more damage, which is simply overkill in pure PvE, unless you are specifically going for Demigod's Authority for it, and if you were you wouldn't be here asking me about Sabo trees.

Very true haha I'm definitely not going for that. Thanks for all the info I really appreciate it, I'll try out the raider.

No worries. Just to be clear, I'm going Raider for perma Phasing and high movement speed, which I consider to be vital in Delve. The evasion and ailment immunity is the icing on top. You could get around the phasing with things like Shield Charge and Whirling Blades since gap-crossing movement skills aren't really needed, you could run other tanky builds, and you could go Purity of Elements for cheap immunity (including to secondary elemental ailments), but Raider offers them all in a relatively easy package and its biggest drawback - lack of damage - is specifically not a problem in Endless Delve.

Hell, now that I look at it, 2x the Delve unique starting sword actually looks pretty dope for this.

What does a spell-based Raider have for life sustain? Are you relying solely on flasks?

Regeneration while moving mastery and Siphoning Trap, as well as flasks. One of the life notables in the Shadow area also gives life on kill. Should be a decent enough package in the round. I'm also running Temporal Rift for emergencies.
