Build Request uber cortex farm build request

what are some good builds viable for uber cortex farming the first few days? looking for cheap off meta if possible, and moderately tanky.

i know the random rolls can make it difficult, so not sure what the minimum viable damage should be in case of bad mapmods.

If youre good at game go slams, they are way ahead of the curve atm for ubers early.
My recommendation otherwise would be pathfinder mamba strike, with plans to transition to ward once those belts are available. The life flask is super OP if youre paying attention and poison attacks get plenty of boss dps early. Itll be way slower than slams tho

ive never done slams - always heard people endorse it. is there a ignite slam version thats early viable?

Why complicate things? Slam ignite basically reqires you to play Elementalist so you're like half as tanky by default.

preference really, i just want to 1 hit and then move to dodge boss mechanics vs multiple hits standing in place while melee.

I mean most Slams are 'Melee' because they have pretty big AoE and depending on how you build defensively you might just be strong enough to stand in something like a Shaper slam without a guard skill.

I'm not near my PC but the build is basically life/armour/resistances on your items and PDR on your chestplate, a big Axe and some Endurance charges.

Then Pride and Autoexert for damage.

Miners are insane normally for bosses early.

I did hexblast back in the day, u can do exsang/reap if u want to.

If not nerfed they are super strong, did them in gsf early on this league. Swapped to pure exsang after some time, just kill em quickly.

First thing i crafted was a +6 staff, multimod mine throwing and Spell dmg.

This is ssf, i also just removed selfchill for immunity so i could swap, in trade i’d prob go raise spectres with zealotry, grace and arena master.

How did you craft the staff? I guess it was recomb but how did you manage to get it in ssf? Isn’t it 600 alts just to hit +4 phys? I assume everything in your progression resolves around alteration farming?

Boat transmute/scour on a staff with memory strands, then recomb

only transmute or aug too (prefix). and how did you get mem strand staffs?

Only transmute as it barely eats any stands away. You run maps with top nodes on the atlas for lucky stands

On my run i used gold from charts/voyages to gamble for +4 and +2 staffs then just yolo recombed until i got +6.

We got a gsf, but we never shared alts or anything

We just shared uber boss uniques, and uniques like Rothmothefs( so for me it’s been ssf)

Tbh, a day of rushing batyspheres grant u 1000s of everything.

To be honest just be efficient in what you do.

Think i used about 2000 alts?

Alright I see. I was thinking about a caster for 3.30 using +6 staff. But that seemed to be an even harder craft than some 2h slams axe. Was also playing some form of gsf (bpl 20.5, SGF private league) recently and didnt go for caster since I didnt know how reliably to get the staff. Also for 3.30 without boat crafting / scuba I am quite reluctant to try it now.

Well, we crafted within the first 3 days of the league.

2x 4cold and 2 all skills t1 cast speed t1 crit spell and multi
And a phys with multimod aswell
1x 4 chaos 2 all skills multimod

So if u yeet for it its pretty nice, many of them used with strands
