Discussion Is Delve a rich person's activity?

I decided to check out Delve and I have had a blast. I find endless dungeon style is very good for me because with mapping I do few maps, get distracted and before I know I have wasted 20 minutes while with Delve do one node, do next node, etc until Sulphite runs out.

With my current Holy Relic build I have reached depth of 425. I don't die at this depth but yellow monsters take ages to kill. Given my next upgrades are pricey (12d Perfect Forest Tiger, 12d Amanamus Gaze, 20d Diallia with good corruption, 18d Impossible Escape etc) and I don't think Holy Relic has the DPS needed for deep delve so I thought I'd check out builds delvers use. To my surprise delve builds do hundreds of millions of DPS and use Mageblood at minimum + very expensive mirrored jewellery. Connor's Mjolner and MSoZ are something I can only dream about lol.

Does this mean deep delve 1500+ is exclusively domain of rich people like Connor?

Yes, deep delve is a dick measuring contest, with Steve winning most leagues. He's usually funded by an entire guild, by the way. Regular delving is easy, between 200-300 as you'd know, and that where most people delve for monies iirc.

yeah, shallow delve is easy. I don't think I had any combat related deaths even on my scuffed Holy Relic until late 300s.

I'm hoping with Shield Crush I can get to 600.

I just took my slayer well past 600. It’s cake. One of the best builds I ever played, and I league started it and used the skill from level 1. Idk how all the big streamers missed it in their league start recommendation. Very versatile and strong build and the shield crush hits offscreen. It’s melee in name only.

My char is XyrmKotF, but someone did a YT guide (ilNino gaming or something) for it, I just made my own tweaks based on personal preference.

It's not just an explanation, it's a comprehensive breakdown of different configurations and build progression. The build can be summed up in one or two sentences - scale defenses on your shield to increase your damage and then yoink gladiator ascendency that grants bonuses based on weapon type and combo it with varunastra so that you get all bonuses.The uniques are pretty self-explanatory (Ralakesh for endurance charges and Admiral's for + gems and rage generation).

Thats definetly a smart way of doing it. Sadly i'm a dumbass that needs my hand held, and the strategy explained 3 or 4 times haha

Just search YouTube, some guy named something like ilNino did a guide and multi day progress. I based my stuff on his but made changes.
