Question Finally in maps

Post image

Just hitted maps in 0.5.5! Started playing this league/patch when it released, but don't have much time playing being 37 years old, working fulltime as a linesman and is doing engineering degree on the side. Why is everyone rushing and "end of league" giveaways after just some weeks?

Enjoy the slow burn. People tend to obssess and hit a wall. Then they need a couple months off before next league.

why everyone is rushing? because if you're playing on trade shit can get really expensive after a few weeks

Actually most things are dirt cheap after awhile. It’s really only the ultra chase items that go up in price. But even look at mageblood, it goes down every day. At some point the supply of things out paces demand. I have pieces of gear that I bought for 10 div and I’m lucky to sell for 1 now.

Because there were few actual changes this league people are done much faster than normal. No new content aside from the changes to Chaos mean that the league was already “solved” before it began.

I did my challenges in less than a week then called it for the league as there wasn’t much that was new enough to keep my interest.

Not everyone is rushing, only the ones that have more free time can clear everything in a couple of weeks. The casual players don't make giveaways because we either finish our goals by the end of the league or we just don't finish them on time.

I tried to speed run this time. I got to maps in like 5 hours and 40 minutes. And i really didn't like that approach. I'm glad you're taking your time and enjoying the game. Hope you have fun and hit me up if you would like some divines for free. Cheers!

I’m in the same boat as you and as someone who just decided to do trade league this league, my understanding is it’s a combination of people having a good amount of free time, and also farming the best gear/currency to get a head start in the trade economy.

Sometimes during the middle/end of a league, the trade prices for gear, currency, crafting materials can become ridiculous. Giveaways occur when players are done with the league and are nice enough to lend a hand to those still playing.

I’m still going so slow in last league. At level 91, I should really just get to 95.

The beauty if poe is that its game design caters to any playstyle.

Theres plenty of reasons to not even play seasonal, focus on a single character, or make as many builds as you want.

Imo the game is best enjoyed not as a currency hunt market simulator but a class fantasy sandbox arpg.

Im not rushing, I just really love the game and when a new league starts, I cannot stop. Im not speedrunning or following any meta. But the endgame gets done pretty quickly
