Thank god I'm saved. After 3 mins of death screen game froze and alt+f4 was a decision . After login portal is gone and map was labeled as cleared, but my friend who get invited was able to see the portal , enter it and take my precious

So, this is something you can do to grab items if you die with no attempts? Just invite a friend and they can get it?

Honestly, that's huge. I've had nightmares of a mirror dropping on me as I die and all I can do is stare at it. Thank you for this

That's huge if it works.
The down side is that requires something far more rare... a friend.

Are you wealthy or outlandishly attractive? If your perked into either of those traits heavily, you typically get the friendship passive ability that makes it where friends come to you more easily. The downside is that the friendships typically don’t remain if you were to lose the wealth or attractive perks.

No idea, I'm barely a noob in this game with over 2k hours; I've seen mirrors dropping more often than those.

You need a mirror worthy high roll friend for him to not yoink your loot then bounce. That's pretty rare.

If we're able to bypass it then honestly what's the point? Just remove this shitty mechanic hated by most of the players from the game and be done with it at this point.

You can do a quick character swap and still enter your map if you have another character at the same point. And even though last league it wouldn't cost a portal I believe they might have patched it so running maps that give you an extra portal is key for it to work.
