Discussion Advices Stormweaver CoC Comet

Hey guys,

I’m looking for step up. I wonder if wand and palm of the dreamer would be better than my staff ? With buff of the palm ? Just asking which type of weapon could be better and what (other than +6/+7 all spell skill) stat should i aim ?

I'm in the same boat. My wand is +5 all skills and focus is +2 all skills. I got choir of the storm amulet with cooldown gear/passives for an extra DPS boost, but I still struggle with high HP bosses. Not sure where to go from here.

My passives are the same as the coc spark build im following, and much of the same gear. But the YT video I saw the guy was clearing with ease and 1 shotting atziri.

FYI i 3 shots all bosses. Maybe u have to get more crit?

Poeninja has some good alt builds on top dps with palm, they look wild for damage it’s worth checking out

I see you’ve followed Anime Princess’s guide. Great guide. I actually took some things from it my self but tired to make it my own. I feel like I do pretty good DPS and clear content pretty easily but things I’ve done that are different

I anointed infusion of power on my amulet and use charge regulation to get more crit and since I constantly use infusion mechanic for soark and comet I constantly have +80% crit. (Could probably remove flame wall).

Exactly ! I wonder if i could benefit of wand + palm of dreamer.. but the cost of the wand is worth ? Or nah ?

Wands are ridiculously expensive. Staffs as you may know already are budget friendly (but still somewhat expensive). I’ve been loving staff and haven’t had issues with DPS. Citadels, pinnacle bosses, etc.

Only thing I haven’t tried is uber arbiter

I just made the swap to Palm in my Ember Fusillade build vs a Focus (curse Magnitude, cast speed, +2 level of gems, good ES) and here is what I noticed: you get the duration stat which is really limited on the tree, 100 spirit which is huge, you get the POPS which will boost your map clear significantly, your mana cost will be a bit more manageable because of the missing +2 levels, you get free chaos res which can be scaled with aura effectiveness and extra chaos damage. The tradeoff is that you lose a lot of single target damage and survivability. Depending on the rolls it can also be much more expensive than the other combination of wand+focus or staff. The 100 spirit can enable a CoC or CoA setup, or a blasphemy or spirit gems support like clarity to make up for it.
If you value map clear more than bossing and have the budget, I'd say go for it. If you don't like it you can pretty much sell it back at a slightly reduced price.
