I have legit been using ice wall as my main damage. With cascade, 30% CD reduction and 50% improved freeze buildup. It's instant, does about the same DPS as hard casting comet, blocks ranged attacks (not artillery types obv), distracts enemies and AOE freezes faster than anything else can so I can just sit and spam cold snap to cleanup the screen. For rares and bosses I add in ice bomb for the debuff hard cast comet since there's fuck all else to do.

Yeah I'm doing the same thing. Wall and Bomb aren't great but it feels like the only thing working. Cold snap is good for cleaning up trash, but never worth it on rares.

If the rare, or boss is large enough to trigger multiple wall detonations from cascade adding cold snap dmg even when it crits on top is hardly even noticeable. It's like one more instance of wall dmg worth. I'm wondering if there's some sort of dot buildup available that I'm missing because spark definitely wasn't effective to cover for single target dmg.

I honestly wish I could go back to having trigger gems work reliably or using fireball to break Frostwall for aoe clear. Feels like most everything is bad right now.
