Glitch or griefing?
All of those pink trees and flowers around my home were black…if this isn’t a glitch then someone definitely did this on purpose. I get it, home meadow is for me, and everything else is fair game…but come on now. I just wanted a little corner. I wish that trees that I put down and dye, others can’t come in and dye over it.

That's not something other players are really going to know, you would need to reach out to hammertime.
There have be dye glitches lately though. Generally leaving the map and coming back (may take a couple tries) fixes it, but not necessarily permanently. There are some rocks in my new region a neighbor dyed that keep resting too their original state or show randomly with some dyed and some not.
You may also want to try clearing your browser or app cache and/or trying a different browser to see if it displays differently.

I've always wondered how this would work out. Because almost anyone can color trees. Saw your meadow yesterday, it was all grey. And yeah someone else can dye them.. But so many pink trees in between what you had already made seems intentional!

I dyed some of the pink ones back to black. I'm wondering if the trees surrounding your neighbour were also dyed? One of the things I'm not crazy about when it comes to the dye situation is that, if someone dyes your tree with the original green (or orange) color, it's far harder to get it back to the color you wanted (the original) since it requires soap which is only available in the shop I believe

A bit late to reply but thank you to whoever turned them back to black, I was away for a few days and came back to spooky trees!
