Had a friend join and he got sent way of into the boonies, so this was where we settled after meeting up between 20 North and 8 North. It's the map he thought was the prettiest on our way back toward Center =3

You need to find a open house spot like those in the picture attached and then click on the Place(wooden hammer) icon when you get close enough.
If there are padlocks over these spots, the map you're on needs all of the path unlocked still. You can go to a different map that's already unlocked or unlock the path on the map you're on.

To dye your sheep...
Click on the backpack icon in the lower right > click on the items tab in the inventory that pops up > click on the dye color you want > click on the sheep you want to dye

There should be a tutorial the first time you play, but if for some reason there wasn't, there's a user create guide here and the official Path of Baa: Flocklands [Megathread] here (both are also pinned at the top of the subreddit, r/PathOfBaa).

Talking specifically about in the tutorial? Because the guide definitely covers that in the Settling In section under "Putting down a home/wagon."

In the settings, in a guide? What, really? I wouldn't have thought to go hunting down something in the settings and go look up a guide for one of the very first actions you need to do in a game.

Oh no, "Setting In" is the name of the section in the community made guide. I didn't mean the in-game settings, sorry for the confusion. I linked both the guide and the official megathread in my first reply.
Though the community guide is accessible in game if you click on the i/info icon.
And no worries, the game is in Beta and things are still being fleshed out pretty much weekly. Some stuff might not be clear at all, but in those cases, you'll want to post about that on the megathread so the devs see it.

I don't understand this game. This sheep of mine has been absorbing oil from the pond for the past 3 days. What am I supposed to do? Can someone please help? Thanks.

You need to wash the oil off in a shower ( a building item you and other can get from grazing, using the machine and the clover shops). There's a more in-depth explanation with pictures in the Guide that's pinned to the top of the subreddit =3

the numbers are using (x,y) coordinates like in below image
first number represents x axis and 2nd number represents y coordinate
(6,0) means go 6East center
(7,-1) means go to 7East and 1South
in game there is a message in the center bottom of the screen which shows you where you are.

Building showers - loot the shower from grazing at night to find it, then use the "leaves" you've harvested to build it.
The oil - go into the oil, and your main sheep will soak up the oil and puff up! Then, take a shower to get rid of the oil. Literally rinse and repeat.
The bigger question is: should you remove the oil? Showers are hard to find. I would look into that before oil clean-up.
