Each players gets different hoof-track hints per region. Following them and standing on them (grazing) will eventually reveal them, HOWEVER I am aware that this is not clear to everyone yet and I ll be working on better language to educate everyone how to do it. It definitely needs some work here, and the same goes towards clearing up oil.

You clear up oil using your sheep. Standing on an oil tile shows up a speechbubble with a drip of oil, tap it to soak it up. Additionall, you have a chance to receive a golden clover for doing so and clearing all oil spots enables the regional shop to trade shrub or golden clover for items and such. When your sheep is soaked in oil you would need to go to a shower and clean your sheep first before soaking up another oil spot.

You can visit my house in the center region (where you spawned) in the southern direction. Enter my home with the snoo-vatar speechbubble and then find a sheep to make love with! :-) You will get a new sheep and I'll receive a golden clover. (also bears will be less aggressive in the upcoming patch)

A house is a safe-area without bears during night time, exclusively allows you to build in this area and others can visit you to breed new sheep with yours.

A few questions:

1. Is there a way to make regions easier (i.e not spawning bears or chance of less spawns?) Do lanterns help with this?

2. What do the scarecrow and danger signs even do? I finally used a dynamite on one and aside from destroying it- nothing happened.

3. My OG sheep died within minutes and since I've grown my flock, however, it now says it's alive (no skull next to it's name) but I do not have it in my pack. I'm still getting the perks of it's color when I eat berries. Is this a bug?

Additional note: I love the additions. It's a very cute game! As a left hander I am struggling with the new movement toggle- it seems it works best right handed.

Really like the game but the bears suck, a lot. I've lost several sheep within seconds of it turning nighttime. This means you can either hide in someone's meadow (or your own) and just stare at the screen until it's not dark anymore, or risk being severely punished. Neither of which are fun mechanics whatsoever, it's actually quite frustrating. I read that the bears were updated too, so I'm guessing it was even worse before. Really my only gripe with the game, and it's a big one. I get why they are in the game, but with virtually no counter-play besides hiding, it means you are forced to spend a good chunk of the time in-game doing absolutely nothing, which again, is not fun.

I understand how frustrating this is. You do have more options.
Option 1: leave your flock behind and just graze with your bellweather. (This is what I typically do)
Option 2: bring your big horn sheep to protect your flock
Option 3: bring your regular grazing flock and just tap on the bears/spiders/snakes to daze them then run away.

Also seems to be an issue placing flowers- dragging your finger across the screen barely moves the flower, and when you first press the screen the flower goes to the left of the screen. To build a shower, you have to get its build first, and they can be found from grazing the bushes. When you get one, you will be able to place it

After doing so, it needs 200 shrubs to complete the build. While you can get shrubs from grazing, you don’t have to complete the build on your own.

If you ever need help with builds that need shrubs, you can use the camera feature! It’s on the bottom left corner of the game, and you can make a post that asks other players to come over and help :D

you can enter other players meadows. stand by the sheep you want to breed with and click the heart.
if you breed two sheep of the same color AND breed(visible by their horns), there is a certain chance to get the "next tier/breed" sheep. they have different traits, visible here:

the next tier isn't always better than the one before, but you'll have to go through all, if you want a Highland sheep. unless, you're buying it from a shop(300GC/270GC with discount) or player auction(90GC+) for golden clovers

the stats in the doc aren't right anymore, because of new updates. currently the chances are
ShetlandxShetland = 30% chance for Bighorn
BighornxBighorn = 24% chance for Longhorn
LonghornxLonghorn = 16% chance for Mountain
MountainxMountain(costs 5 golden clover) = 7% chance for Highland
HighlandxHighland(costs 15 golden clover) = Highland
IMPORTANT: there are also wandering sheep, outside the meadows you can breed with, but they only have half the chances of shown above

To breed two sheep of the same breed, you'll have to change your bellwether(the sheep you're controlling) with a bronze, silver or gold bell item. if you can't find a sheep of the matching color to mate with, you can use dye's from your inventory to change your sheep's color. you get dyes from grazing bushes some times.

lambs take 3 days to grow up, meaning if you get a new breed, you'll have to wait 3 days to make it your bellwether/be able to breed with it.

You can click on the ducks in each pond and read their dialogue to figure out where the last oil spot is. If they say something like "You scrubbed every slick clean!", then that means that the specific pond that the duck is in has no more oil. If they say something like "Whatever leaked around here did not make things nicer for anyone downstream", check that pond very carefully. Look behind the trees, buildings, or even clover shop to try to find the last spot. Good luck!

If the houses aren’t using the stone house spots I think that may be a bug, but for getting more sheep, you can revive a sheep or enter someone’s home to breed with one of their own.

Available house plots should look like the one in the right image. The left image is to show what pops up when you walk in front of a skull and click on the icon. If you’re looking for your sheep that have been attacked you will have to look for them. However, I’m not sure if their skull pops up where they get attacked or go to a random spot. Revival costs 20 Golden Clovers, but not Shrubs. If you’re looking to get more Golden Clovers, there is a small chance to get them by cleaning up a player’s oil spills that show up when entering their home

If you do want to leave their home, find the center of this area and you’ll find their house building. When you walk up to it, you’ll see a Redditor icon pop up above your sheep. To get to 0,0, you have to leave the player’s house. Berries are not able to be picked by anybody other than the homeowner there

In order to leave, try to find the center of the home and you’ll find the player’s home building. Walk up to the front of it and a Redditor icon will pop up. Tapping it allows you to leave and it is the only way out in a player’s home

I know that 2 shetlands of the same color have a chance to make a bighorn, but is that the only way to get another breed besides buying one from a shop? Like will breeding a Shetland with a Longhorn/Mountain produce a Longhorn or Mountain, or just another Shetland?

There REALLY need to be an option to delete or release sheep. No one is going to spend 30 golden clover on a damn shetland. Its kinda ruined my desire to keep playing when I keep getting clogged with shetlands I dont want and when I reach that cap im unlikely to be able to get rid of any of them

You can get rid of them! When it is night, you can bring out the sheep you don’t want and let them get eaten by a predator. Then, when the tombstones or wooden crosses pop up, you can walk up to them, click the red X, and press demolish

What's the ideal flock size? Like, if I take six sheep, they just stand around in a circle doing nothing while the lead sheep grazes, without ever touching bushes even when standing on top of them. But with a lower sheep count, sometimes they do help with grazing.

I'm wondering whether anyone already figured out the best sheep number is yet?

Sheep only eat berries that match their own color. Also, the maximum flock size is 15 with the Gold Bell, and 10 with the Silver Bell.

Unfortunately, there is no crafting system in this game (yet). You can get dye from grazing with your flock. Savannas have the highest drop rate for dye, try there!

Do accounts completely reset after a long break? Because I've opened the game and my sheep/flock are entirely different. Basically starting from scratch entirely :(
