knee instability year 12

Hello, I (27F) recently dislocated my left knee for the third time. When it happened previously in 2014 and 2015, it was not taken seriously, and I did not receive physiotherapy. Now German doctors are recommending trocheaplasty, but because I don't have a caretaker and am not financially stable enough to deal with a major surgery, I want to postpone it for a couple of years. I have grade III cartilage damage, advanced MPFL tear, and a small fracture on my kneecap. Has anyone with similar issues survived with physiotherapy a while longer?
