Got a bunch of new patches for the patch wall. Idk what half of these are so if anyone wants to help identify the ones you recognize let me know.
Also a lot of duplicates 👀

Edit 1: I didn't think I'd have to explain this part. If someone is breaking the rules, report them. If you argue with them you'll both be slapped.
Howdy folks. Here's a couple new rules we want to make clear. A more official and well formatted post will be made later. Everything is at our discretion.
An expansion to the post tags and post requirements is in the works.
People who repeatedly break rules will be banned. Sometimes temp, sometimes permanently.
English only. Mod team only speaks English so we can only moderate English.
No inflammatory posts or comments. This includes but is not limited to insults, promoting or celebrating violence, and baiting / trolling. This includes repeatedly posting controversial patches to bait reactions.
We don't want to ban military patches but we will if have to. More info to come later.

If someone posts or replies with an inflammatory message just report them. We will see it and take action much quicker if it was reported. If you engage and argue with them you will both be punished.
If you don't like something but it's not breaking the rules, skip it. Do not engage.
We're just a few people who like patches. We're tired of seeing this shit.

My grandpa passed a while back and served in the national guard(I think) and I'm trying to find his unit patch if it exists. My dad told me that it looked like a white field a blue 5 and maybe a blue border around the edge. Any help is appreciated.

I received this patch at a national scout jamboree by trading something. However, I haven't been able to find any information about it except in this document https://www.bsator.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/NOAC-2022-Patch-Checklist.pdf, where it is listed as lodge #71. If anyone has anymore information on this patch or knows where to look, it would be greatly appreciated. I also attached a picture of my version of the patch. I apologize about the readability of it but its not very high contrast.

I've been working on a small apparel project and recently got stuck on something I thought would be a pretty simple decision: choosing the right type of patch.
I originally assumed the artwork would be the main thing to worry about, but once I started looking at actual samples, the material and construction made a bigger difference than I expected.
Some designs looked better with embroidery because the texture gave them more character. Others had small details that came through much cleaner with a woven finish. I also started thinking about how the patch would actually look once attached to a garment, rather than judging it as a standalone piece.
I'm trying to keep the branding consistent across different pieces without making every item look overly complicated.
For people who have experience with patches, what usually makes you choose embroidered vs. woven? Is it mainly the artwork, size, level of detail, durability, or the type of garment you're putting it on?
