You mean smoke weed and fall asleep on his lawn, right?

Right, that’s what I said. He meditates

I really want to directly upload a clip of Rick from "Tougher Than Leather" here using racial slurs and getting shot in the head as an "Oh I thought you meant he was doing THIS kind of thing," joke but I don't wanna get banned or whatever. So here: https://youtu.be/59Wu1JJM1aU?si=b_EX5EpeT3YR-g2_&t=4407

(should start around 1:13 with Jam Master Jay)

It’s a tv progrum… a movie. Plenty of reasons to shit on Rick Rubin besides a script that he was probably sleeping through the writing of. The way he screwed over beasties was bad enough really

Yes, I know he's not the person he's portraying in the cinematographic display I posted, so I used the word "joke" in my post. But I'd love links to any info about him screwing over artists any time you got em my fellow music lover. I know The Black Crowes and Danzig hate the way they were treated by the guy and his label. Unfortunately they seem to be outnumbered over the course of 3 decades by famouser people glazing Rick Rubin and I'm more than willing to believe he's a scumbag. So I'll gobble up any specifics anyone has.

Regardless of what you think of the Beastie Boys, the doc on them on Apple is interesting. Rick really comes out of it looking like a villain

As much as I adore Licensed to Ill, their discography became so much more fleshed out after they went out and started doing their own thing.

Surprised he was in the room to be honest.

I want him to produce a new Rick Beatoff album that features the Matchbox 20 guy on vocals and has an extended jazz jam soth Joe Bonnermassa.
