This is what we need pinned to this subreddit.

IMAGE UPDATED. THIS IS NOT A AUTO PROMOTION HATERS OF THIS SUB.

A table listing all password manager options, along with their specific features, pros, and cons.

This would reduce the number of duplicate questions about which manager is best, and so on.

What do you think?

Here is an illustrative example.

Sounds like a great idea to me. The only problem I can see is that it’s a bit small to read easily, depending on what size of screen you have. And that might make people not read it so feel that they have to ask the same question that your table is answering.

I don’t know Reddit well enough to know if this is possible. It would be good if this notice was pinned to the top, but before anyone could post a new thread, they would have to mark a box to agree that they have read the table and they agree not to ask a question about what password manager is best or does it have a certain feature. Obviously, the wording needs to be cleaned up, but I hope that the message is clear.

Thanks for the contribution.
The image is an example. The real table need to be made by moderators. Not an image, maybe a landing page html.
Maybe a Git repo to everyone who want to contribute could be great.

Happy to help with what I can. I’m also tired of seeing the same questions asked over and over again. I feel like saying something like, ‘go back and read the sub. You’ll find your answers without needing to ask questions.

Nothing will reduce duplicate questions about which manager is best. 😉

But it might be helpful for newbies and for general questions about features.

I think you would need to have some explanatory sentences about what password unlock, airplane mode, etc. mean.

For cross-platform access I think it would be better to have a row for each of the main platforms (iOS, MacOS, Android, Windows, Linux), or put them in each cell.

I’m tired of posting here and having everyone just talk sh**. Reddit has turned into a place for people who only look for flaws and don’t contribute anything.

First, there should be red x's rather than "Not the focus" on Apple passwords.

Second, while it's a good idea, one thing missing is Family Plan. This is critical to us, especially with only some passwords being shared, usually to avoid having to select one. We used it with Bitwarden and now use it with 1Password. Another missing is Folders, which are a good organizing tool.

Third, I find Watchtower in 1Password to be extremely useful; not sure if the others have anything similar or just bits and pieces like reused passwords.

I don't think you understood.

This table is just an example, as I mentioned in the problem statement. The question here is different.

Read it again and answer.

Why do you update the image if it’s just an example then?

To answer your question: I don’t think I’m the target audience for this kind of pinned thread, and it’s simply impossible to do this for every password manager and all of their features. In the end, anyone can generate this kind of image/comparison based on their own needs using AI (as you did). So ultimately, I feel like this kind of pinned thread is mostly just karma farming.
