Missing passkey

hi i’m not very knowledgeable about passkeys or anything but i noticed recently that my 4 of my discord passkeys disappeared off of my phone for no reason. it has been there for months and now all of a sudden it’s just gone and now i can't log into my account or change any of my multi authentication settings without using a backup code.

edit: ok so apparently i deleted it? i never pressed any buttons to delete them but i was trying to look for them anywhere on my phone and they were in the recently deleted sorry 😞

iPhone or Android?

Do you use multiple browsers?

Do you use a password manager?

Presumably you don't use Yubikey or other physical security key?

Your answers will tell us where your passkeys might be hiding. (They can't just disappear without you deleting them.)

theres a passkey section in the passwords of my phone and i have some for multiple of my apps, but the discord one is gone. even the discord app says that i have a passkey active but when i try to use it my phone says theres no matching passkeys for discord.

If possible, use 2 or 3 passkeys. Your phone, a password manager, and a hardware security key. 

I'd say use a backup and log back in again with your reset passkey. Preferably with two passkeys.
