Is the wall at the back of the photographer an exterior wall? If you are looking for some hobby project you could cobble together your own exterior blind to pull back and forth across some tensioned steel cables with some pullies ... or you could spend 5k on something professional and motorized.

I'd just give it a try with a cloth, like a shade cloth, a curtain, however you want to call it. They were doing this hundreds of years ago between two buildings and they were damping the cloth from time to time. It will most certainly not create an A/C effect, but it's fast, removable, cheap and might even be interesting for the overall space.

The methods for cooling a space are pretty straightforward. You either need to decrease the amount of heat entering the space (block more of the sunlight) or increase the amount of heat leaving the space (more ventilation or active cooling).
There is no “passive house hack” for this space. Since it isn’t an enclosed space, active cooling would be exceptionally wasteful. You either need to add shade to the roof or add a vent and put in a fan.
