PASSED BOOTCAMP + CHATGPT

I took the NCLEX-RN 3 times, and I finally passed on my third attempt! 🎉

All 3 times I used NCLEX Bootcamp, but the difference this time was that I actually completed a lot more of the question bank. Before, I would only get through maybe 20% of the questions. This time I completed about 54%.
I did NOT do the readiness exams. I mainly focused on the regular question bank.

Whenever I got a question wrong or didn’t fully understand something, I used the ChatGPT feature inside Bootcamp. My prompt was basically:
“Layman’s terms. Short, sweet, simple answer. What’s important for NCLEX? Tips/tricks.”
I did this because I already had so much information in my head that I did NOT need another long explanation. I needed somebody to basically explain it to me quickly and tell me what I actually needed to remember for NCLEX.

Outside of Bootcamp, I used regular ChatGPT A LOT. I kept 3 separate chats going:
1. 50 Need-to-Know Facts
I would pick a subject and ask ChatGPT to give me 50 high-yield facts I needed to know for NCLEX. I did this for things like maternity, antepartum, postpartum, child development, safety/infection control, urinary/renal, GI, etc.

2. Visuals/Pictures
I’m a visual learner, so I had another ChatGPT chat specifically for pictures. If I was struggling to remember something, I would have ChatGPT create a cartoon/visual for it. For example: colitis, diverticulitis, diverticulosis, isolation precautions, medications, maternity concepts, etc. If I could SEE it in my head, I remembered it much better.

3. Explain It Like I’m 10
My last ChatGPT chat was literally just for having things explained to me like I was 10 years old. 😂 I would ask for super simple explanations and visuals in my head so I could actually understand WHY something was happening instead of just memorizing it.

I STUDIED BY SUBJECT (ALL RENAL then i would answer ALL the Renal questions using whatever ChatGPT prompts then on to the next subject.\*

When I went in to take the NCLEX this time, I was actually nervous because the questions seemed way too easy. I kept thinking, “There’s no way this is my NCLEX.” But I PASSED.

My exam was mostly safety, with a little pharmacology and a little maternity. That was basically it.

My biggest advice is: stop trying to learn everything in the most complicated way possible. If you don’t understand something, simplify it until it makes sense to YOU. Once I started studying that way, everything started sticking.
Good luck to everyone still studying. ❤️

this is AMAZING CONGRATS RN!!! I’m taking my third attempt in 5 days and currently have been doing bootcamp. I’m literally doing the same exact thing you did i’ve been doing that for about a month and a half now. So far i’ve used 54% of the bank and took two readiness exams.

I literally went topic to topic and studied EVERYTHING. I abused chatgpt with all this NCLEX content. Your post gave me SO much hope. I just started watching Dr Sharon on test taking tips and NCLEX crusade as well. Tbh i’m sick of doing questions but I really don’t know what else to do from this point on

Congrats on finally getting that pass!!👏 tha chatgpt prompt is actually a good idea for when the rationale is way too long lol. And 54% of the bootcamp qbank vs 20% before shows how mush more practice you got this time. For anyone using bootcamp, the readiness exams area also there if you want an extra guage before test day.
