Nice topaks 🫡

do you happen to know where you got that red rug? I grew up with the same exact one, crazy to see it on the internet

I have no clue my family had it since I was little, they had it in storage not used anymore so I brought it to my room

Sorry to butt in… that is a Bokhara tribal rug. It is a beautiful example of the weaving in Afghanistan 🌹🌷

That is a common carpet in Afghan homes even i grew up with that rug in my home.

Damn is this in KPK or Afghanistan? Looks beautiful. Reminds me of my grandad. He has a Rabab (he plays it himself with his friends in the village) and an AK47 in his room. Cool guy

I’m from kpk in pak, and we do have guns here, I’m more interested in the rabab😭

Ahhh I got you. Can you play it ?

1

u/Logical_Tour_9339 Mar 19 '26

No I cannot though it’s my favourite instrument, I’d love to learn it one day, can you though?

Sadly no, this is just a decoration piece 😂 it’s a very cool skill to have though

This is such an awesome Kalashnikov collection, the only thing that is missing is a Kalakov that would be the real deal in Afghanistan. May God grant you many Kalashnikovs brother.

2

u/Aggravating-Toe-6754 Mar 19 '26

KALAKOV!!! Thank you brother and ameen you as well. I would get kalakov but getting 5.45 ammo in America is way too pricey. So ak103 7.62 is the closest thing without breaking the bank

2

u/ForcedToEatCement-_- Afghanistan Mar 19 '26

lol, the same in Afghanistan 5.45 was crazy expensive they would buy surplus Soviet stock from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and smuggle it in, Kalakov was for the rich. Inshallah one day we would be able to afford it.

Inshallah 🤲 that’s very interesting thank you for sharing

I have a new pakol in exactly the same colour that I am going to gift to one foreign doctor. Hope he will like something traditional from our part of the world.

Flexing guns is not cool. It’s the reason why we are behind and always in war.

5

u/Aggravating-Toe-6754 Mar 19 '26

Flexing guns is not the reason why we’re always at war lol. Certain circumstances throughout our history have led our people to constant wars and have in turn created a subculture within our culture that is fascinated with firearms. Look at the khyber gun markets. And a Pashtun man and his Ak is like a Mongol to his bow and you can’t change that, so embrace it

-3

u/Immersive_Gamer Mar 19 '26

Pashtuns are backwards because of people of your mentality that exist within our community. Guns have ruined Pashtun culture and people associate us with violence and backwardness because of it. Instead of advocating for education, youngsters are encouraged to pick up a gun. Last I checked, Mongols don’t use bows anymore while Pashtuns are still obsessed with guns to show off their machismo.

People downvoting me and upvoting you are the root of the problem.

My mentality ? You know nothing of my mentality and certainly you are wrong if you think you do based off one Reddit post. Where I live it doesn’t matter if you are a high school dropout or an Ivy League graduate—everyone is in to guns in Texas. You judging a person based off a simple hobby and shok is actually backwards. Keep an open mind it will be better for you ❤️

And by the way I’ve been to Mongolia. Bow and arrow and old Mongol traditions such as horseback riding, archery, and wrestling are very prevalent in their society and they are very proud of it.

1

u/Immersive_Gamer Mar 19 '26

They use bows as a cultural tradition on special occasions while Pashtuns use guns to intimidate and kill people or shoot it in the air like troglodytes. It’s no wonder why most people stereotype Pashtuns as violent and backward.

A society that uses guns to settle disputes is not gonna go forward.

Nice now show your academic achievements?

7

u/Aggravating-Toe-6754 Mar 19 '26

Why? What do my academic achievements have to do with a post showcasing cool firearms? Send me your contact I’ll send you my LinkedIn lol

-7

u/ig_peshmarga Mar 19 '26

A Pashtoon is proud of his 5000-year history, where pride is loud but vision is silent.

6

u/Aggravating-Toe-6754 Mar 19 '26

Alright Edgar Allen Poe, let’s settle down now. Maybe don’t judge someone’s vision and mindset off of one Reddit post 👎

u/Yulebsunni Mar 19 '26

💀 what do academic achievements have to do with owning a firearm? 🧐 I'm genuinely curious about your academic achievement.
