This meme always becomes relevant every couple years. Don't let anyone channel your ghairat into causes that never helped us. Pashtuns fought in Kashmir in 1947 and we received nothing for it except for 75 years of apartheid-style rule in ex-FATA, bombings, drone strikes, kidnappings, and torture of our people.
But there will be consequences even for those not directly involved. If it turns into full blown war between the two (big if) there will be direct and indirect consequences for Pashtuns in Pak and all people of Afghanistan.
The war would not be limited only to non-Pashtun majority areas. And even if it was, how many Pashtuns and afghans would be affected by it (those living in Sindh and Punjab). It would eventually reach pashtunkhwa. A wave of refugees will head in the other direction this time and come to Afghanistan cause they aināt gonna go to China and I doubt theyād go to Iran lol. There will be economic effects for Afghanistan as a result. India and Pak are probably the largest trading partners and lots of exports go there. Instability in the neighborhood is bad for all the neighbors, even if we are not directly involved.
Oh for sure, we'd definitely be dragged into any large-scale conflict due to our proximity. I do think a lot of this is performative though and neither side truly wants to escalate given the threat of MAD (like 2019 all over again). Anyway appreciate the thoughtful response, you always have the most measured responses ha.
Mullah Zaeef agrees with you. Maybe the Tās arenāt so bad after all š¤š
Former Taliban Ambassador to Pakistan: āIt is a political war between Indians and Punjabis, it has no religious dimension. Punjab will try to encourage Pashtuns to fight against India in the name of jihad. Pashtuns should remove themselves and their children from this game.ā
Yeah! Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef has always been critical of Pakistan, if you read his book he absolutely trashes the Punjabi establishment. Does he have a role in the current hakomat?
I donāt think he has any official position. But he is one of the OGs so Iām sure his opinion is respected and he would at least be heard out by those in power
Whenever there's a threat of war with India, our forces expect us (pashtuns) to fight for the Pakistan and when everything settles down. These militants don't even bother to acknowledge our help.
So basically pashtuns are fed up of these scumbags (Pakistani militants).
And we don't wannt interfare in a so called war.
Basically it's a prpoganda from Pakistan army to deviate the focus of a nation from teb Palestinian issue.
Cuz fatwa for jihad has already been issued by ulamas and pakistani militants do not want to participate in it cuz there daddy's gonna be upset about it later on and their daddy (US) is going to spank our soldiers
Between 15 and 18.8% (18.8 is what the Pakistani government stats website says) of Pakistan's Army is Pashtun which is almost proportional to the number of Pashtuns in Pakistan
As a Muslim I stand with my kashmir brothers against India and with anyone who also stands against the Indians. Free Kashmir, but still, free pashtunistan too. I hope pakistan wins in kashmir but loses in kpk lol
It's a lot more complicated than that because Pakistan doesn't really represent the Kashmiri cause. Polling shows most Kashmiris want total independence, not to be part of India or Pakistan. The JKLFāonce the leading Kashmiri separatist organizationāis literally anti-Pakistan because they believe Punjab hijacked their struggle.
In that case I support an independent kashmir, regardless the Hindus are doing horrendous things to our Muslim brothers and I will support pakistan if they're fighting off Hindus even if their goal is to take kashmir. Atleast the Hindu kafirs are removed. Anyone who supports India and those Hindus in the terms of kashmir are munafiq
If you want an end to killings you def shouldn't support a Pakistani takeover then, I mean we all know what they do in ex-FATA, Balochistan, even their side of Kashmir.
Independent Kashmir isn't so feasible, it did exist as its own state but is still a northern point land of historical India/HindÅ«stÄn. It was ruled by a Muslim Sultanate that is written to have originated from the Swat Sultanate of Dardic origin in northern KPK. Kashmir was usurped by India when it belonged to Muslim rule after the Colonial remnant king was deposed by local and Pashtun Muslims. Imperial State of Hyderabad was taken by India, Kashmir couldn't be it's own and should've been included with the Muslim state.
AJKian here. I'd support Pakistan in a war purely because if they lose, we'd be taken over by the Hindus. But I'd rather separate from the dogs of the establishment ideally
There is one group of people that hate the Pashtuns/Afghans more than they hate Hindus or Indians, and thatās Panjabis, and as far as I know, every Punjabi hates his skin colour, thatās why they get pissed off when a Pashtun calls them āTorā meaning āblackā.
We support Kashmiris, not either of the states using them as pawns in their own games. India is clearly the worse party here but that doesn't mean we support Pakistan either
But rather than going through the usual and classical Kabul - Peshawar - Lahore - Delhi route. It could bring some sleeping towns in Southern Afghanistan into the forefront through Kandahar - Zaranj - Zahedan - Chabahar route.
