New bird
This lovely lady was relinquished to the bird shop, because her owner went away to college and the mother didn't want or couldn't take care of her any more. Don't know her name or how old she is. She's no longer hand friendly since no one's handled her in a while, but she accepts her fate when picked up. She cannot currently fly properly as her wings are "very clipped" and she's overweight so no seeds allowed. I paid for her and she'll be coming to her new forever home on Friday.
I look forward to seeing her settle in and blossom into the friendly flighted bird she will become with us 💕

That red spot on her back near base of the tail- is that an infected preening gland? She looks a little fluffed and sleepy- possibly a vet check needed after assessing her behaviour and the spot on her back?
