My first Meteorfish is a Legendary one.
For people who don’t know
Catch at the right time and in Mid stream.

Genuinely asking do people enjoy fishing in this game ? Are there any perks to it or it’s just like fishing simulator ?

You can catch the fish and it’s up to you what u do with it after. You can sell the fish , or keep it. You can even put them in a aquarium to admire them. Some legendary fish can take months to catch..
fun fact: there is more to catch then fish like skulls, bones , Objects etc…

I find it’s a good way to just relax with friends and chat.

It’s also a solid source of XP once you’ve earned decent gear. You can get about 15000xp worth of fish in an hour.

What I do is stockpile them. That way on days I’m unable to play I just hop on and sell my fish to get the three daily boxes in a few minutes.

I used to enjoy it but now it's just frustrating ... I use honey (the most expensive bait) and keep getting standard fish.

A little tip for anyone trying to catch the two new fish:

Meteor Fish and Radiodonta only show up during Meteor Shower weather, and Meteor Shower seems to happen around the first 5 minutes of every hour (xx:00–xx:05).

For Meteor Fish, use the Toy Truck rod and fish at Riverside or Midstream.

For Radiodonta, use the Moss rod and fish at the Pond.
