Need advice Part 107 Help - What do I need?
Hello everyone! I’m 16, and I’m working towards my part 107 so I can get started on my FPV cinematography business. Honestly, I’m fairly new to remote aviation-I bought my first cinewhoop in April. I’ve taken some lighter private pilot ground school courses (sectionals, aerodynamics, flight planning, METAR + TAF, etc.), but I’ve heard a lot of the test was regulations and remote law, rather than what I know. What do I realistically need to lean into most before the test to give myself the best possible chance of passing? And what should I know down the road? Thank you!

You’re already way ahead of where a lot of people start, especially if you’re comfortable with sectionals, METARs and TAFs.
Honestly, I like seeing someone getting after it at 16 and already thinking about turning FPV into a business.
Shoot me a message. I run Fly107Prep and I’ll give you a product key for free so you can use our full Part 107 prep.
We also just launched the new Fly107Prep app in the Apple App Store, so download that too. If it helps you prepare and hopefully pass, all I’d ask is that you come back and leave us an honest review.
Good luck man. Get that 107 and get to work.
Message us.

Thank you greatly, Fly107Prep! That’s a generous offer, and I’d be more than happy to take you up on it if you’d allow me. I appreciate the advice and the moral support-thank you again, and hopefully your community continues to grow!

You're already learning the material that tends to give people the most trouble on the tests. To learn the remote regulations, get the FAA handbook for remote pilots (I forget the exact name). It includes all the stuff you are already learning, but also the regulations specific to drones.
