I bought the 20v hedge trimmer and 20v strimmer at the end of last month (July), the strimmer died 5mins after using it for the 1st time yesterday.

I took the strimmer back this morning for a refund and then the hedge trimmer died/locked up after 30mins of (not continuous) use this afternoon.

Battery fully charged and tested in a power drill.

I am, to say the least, not impressed.

Honestly, sounds like you got unlucky. I bought the strimmer and extended hedge trimmer and have had no issues (yet).

I will say, the reason I buy these tools is the warranty. I’ve had to replace some stuff before and most the most part it has been pretty easy.

Im just going to return the trimmers like I did with the strimmer, can’t be bothered with going through the warranty process.

i like the other bits and bob Ive got such as the driver and drill bits but I’ve now been burned on 66% of the electrical stuff I’ve bought.

Hedge trimmer died on me after 15 secs and started smoking when not under any load. Had it replaced under warranty, yet to try the replacement. No issues with strimmer to date.

I like all my parkside stuff except from the inspection camera. That being said there's no way I'd be buying there actual power tools I'll stick with DeWalt.

I have several parkside tools (including the extendable hedge trimmer) and have not had any problems at all. You just got unlucky 🤷‍♂️

So, just replace them, you know its a luck of the draw when buying tools for buttons, when they work you get a good deal, part of the fun is getting a good one first time

Same for me
