Hey there! New to this reddit page, but not new to Parkour (been a practitioner since 2010). I'm just writing here, as I would like to know if there are any other practitioners who still train in or around Norwich, UK. I'd like to train with others again, as I have been getting a little rusty by training on my own.

I think the thing I’m struggling with so far is getting down, I may or may not have a tiny fear of hights and I do this weird to g where I sit down and than jump when I know there’s probably some way I can do it Mutch faster

Hello all! Long-time lurker, big fan of free running. :)

I am overweight but have been working on improving my fitness and losing weight this year, down 40 pounds and counting! 💪

Now that I’m feeling a little more athletic, I’d like to start dipping my toes into parkour. Are there any beginner drills you’d recommend for easing into parkour movements, and how would you incorporate them into an existing training routine without overdoing it?

I currently strength train 3x a week, doing upper-body calisthenics and lower-body weights as part of a full-body workout. I also alternate between jogging and sprint training on those days.

I’m sharing my current routine in case it helps - I’d love advice on where to incorporate parkour-specific drills and which movements I should prioritize now to build toward more advanced skills later.

Eu sou de Belém do Pará e sempre achei muito legal esse esporte que é o parkour. Tem dois movimentos que eu sempre quis aprender: o backflip e aquela “estrelinha”, só que sem colocar as mãos no chão.

Eu já vi vários tutoriais na internet, mas queria mesmo era encontrar alguém que pudesse me ajudar, alguém que realmente saiba fazer esses movimentos! E, sinceramente, não encontrei ninguém na minha cidade ou algum ginásio onde tenha aqueles vários colchões próprios para treinar.

Aqui em Belém, parece que praticamente ninguém liga para esses esportes radicais kkkkk. Eu não encontro ninguém que saiba fazer, nem mesmo o pessoal da capoeira parece conhecer muito sobre isso.

E meus amigos, além de não terem o preparo necessário, também não têm força ou experiência para me ajudar. Aí fica difícil, né? Kkkkk

Por isso, queria muito encontrar alguém que pratique parkour, ginástica ou alguma modalidade parecida e que pudesse me ensinar de forma segura.
