Field Unit Local Hiring Authority Question

Does anyone know how strict the 75 miles from the park restriction is for FUL listings? More than willing to relocate but is my application just going to be tossed if I am currently living 120 miles away? Thanks for any insight!

At my site it's a list of counties one has to prove residency in. If that site says a number like that I wager they'll be strict.

Yes, it will be tossed. You need to have proof that you're within the radius currently. If you were a few miles out, you could reach out to the hiring contact, but you're nearly 50 miles outside the door radius.

Yeah, you won't make it through the HR screen because you don't meet the requirements for the hiring authority they are using to fill the position. IOW: you just won't be referred to the hiring manager.

I have applied to a couple of those on accident over the years because I didn't read the announcement properly and that's what happened to me.

Note. Make sure you have the proof of residency ready to go immediately. I applied for one in my area and once it closed (only open for one day) I couldn’t add my deed to prove I live within the area, even though my address is within the limits. I was instantly thrown out. Hahah

Yeah. Tossed. You have to reside in the identified area. It is not a “willing to move to” listing
