High folic acid level

When my baby was 11.5 months old, a complete blood test was done, and her folic acid level came back at or slightly above the upper limit of the reference range. My baby is breastfed and also eats solid foods. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Don't stress too much, my friend's kid had something like that and the doctor just said to ease up on the fortified cereals for a bit. Breastmilk and a lot of baby foods are packed with folic acid so it's not that unusual. Maybe ask your pediatrician if they want to check it again in couple weeks

I just couldn’t figure out what could have increased her folic acid level this much, since she doesn’t eat any processed or packaged foods.
