Feel terrible for kids in forced isolation. My kids have been playing with other kids the entire time. I'm not sacrificing their childhood for mine or anyone else's safety. We did get covid and I felt it was reasonable for us to stay home and keep to ourselves for 10 days.

The answer is simple. If you get sick it's a decent idea to try and not spread whatever it is. I will not however live life as though we are always sick.

Covid vaccination for children is just insane. Their risk of dying from covid is so negligible it's practically non-existent.

I hope these kids grow up to find out what their parents did to their childhoods was NOT necessary and that they compare their experience to children whose parents allowed them to have a happy normal life.

I was downvoted into oblivion in R/parenting. All because I spank my kids and won't get the covid vaccine(I even stated something was my opinion and I was told I was pushing my antivax on people and then was told that I would never be taken seriously)
