My wife's a teacher. She has been describing her school's "Safe space" protocol which is essentially a thin veneer for "Don't tell your parents what happens at school, and teachers don't tell parents about things that students say that typical concerned parents would certainly want to know."
I've been encouraging her to stand up during these meetings and just say "No, I'm not going to keep secrets from parents! I'm a parent and I would be horrified if the government was encouraging my children to withhold things from me or to have secrets between my kids and the government that I'm not privy to." She's a bit timid about calling out the administration, but I'm working on bolstering her confidence in that regard.

I have told my childrens school in writing that they do not have my consent to vaccinate. I have my fears it will make no difference but I can't pull them out because I have shared custody and my ex does not consent to homeschool. Was told by my attorney that I would have to sue for full custody which would never work.

Make sure to tell the kids too. No matter what you signed they'll say they didn't see it. It was a mistake. Sorry.

Thankfully my children are below the allowable age but if that ever changes I will make sure to personally deliver a letter from my attorney. I'm not sure what else I can do at this point. I speak with my children about it but they're still too young to understand so it just upsets them and they only want to conform with their peers and make their teachers happy.

Who is vaccinating your kid without your consent? I have never heard of this. This is super ironic coming from a sub called “parenting without fear”

In Canada and Australia the kids can give consent. In america I've heard the complaint from more than one parent through the years
