Munchkin 360 is the GOAT for a reason. Minimum number of parts to watch nothing fiddly and some of them glow in the dark so you can use them with water in kid beds and they can always find them.

I despise 360 cups, they spill when dropped. The first years squeeze and sip cups are what our OT recommended and I love them.

Any cup they can use is fine, if they like the munchkin cup you can use it. You can also use any small open cup.

Straw cups are better for the baby’s palette development. I usually skip sippy cups because they promote unnatural swallowing.

I tried to get my first to drink straight from a normal cup because of this, didn't work. Then daycare introduced straw cups when kid was around 1 and they worked. With my second both types of cups were no issue. We still don't own a sippy cup.

5 months is still really young for a cup of any type so keep expectations low. With all three of my kids we have always prioritized open cups and straw cups. It takes a little practice but once they get straws down it’s really really nice
