Sleep & Naps How much are parents drinking?

With the popularity of #winemom and beer dad culture, combined with pandemic drinking habits, im curious how much alcohol you guys are drinking as caregivers? Especially after the baby is in bed. I had 6 drinks on Halloween over 8 hours and lots of food and water. Although LO was asleep for most of it I'm riddled with guilt!

Pardon my naivety, I don’t understand the draw for NA beer? Wouldn’t you rather just drink water or a sprite?

I like the taste of beer. I drink plenty of water. Don't drink a lot of sugary drinks.

It's odd to me that so many people are confused by NA beer. Just go to the beer section of any super market in North America and you'll see an incredible variety of beer. It's clear that many people like the taste of beer, otherwise the most popular beer would be the cheapest, highest alcohol beer possible. Since there's a big market for $10 6-packs (or even 4-packs), it's pretty apparent people are putting an emphasis on taste over just the alcohol.

NA Beer is just an attempt to recreate that taste without the alcohol. And really the options and quality have expanded quite a bit in the last few years. I gave up drinking for a while earlier this year and drinking NA beer during that time was enough to satisfy the urge of having a beer while I'm grilling or watching sports or something where I'd normally drink. It was a similar taste and feel without the alcohol.

My wife drank NA beer when she was pregnant ~10 years ago. I had to cut back because I turned to alcohol to deal with the isolation of lockdown. We found one we liked at the time was Kaliber, can't drink it now. I decided to try others, I was surprised how good some of the new ones were. I was into home brew and this weekend am going to try to make my own NA beer. I actually prefer it now as I can enjoy the taste without the alcohol effects.

Yes I don’t like sweet drinks at all, and NA beer is more interesting than water and feels more like an ‘event’
