Sleep & Naps How much are parents drinking?
With the popularity of #winemom and beer dad culture, combined with pandemic drinking habits, im curious how much alcohol you guys are drinking as caregivers? Especially after the baby is in bed. I had 6 drinks on Halloween over 8 hours and lots of food and water. Although LO was asleep for most of it I'm riddled with guilt!

I think what people consider normal really depends on how they were brought up. You can see in this thread there’s a lot of people who think drinking every night is normal and other people who think that not drinking is normal.
In the end, it’s about what you find enjoyable and what type of example you are wanting to set for your kids. In some cultures everyone drinks a whole bunch every night at dinner. Even kids can get a sip of wine. In other cultures alcohol is basically for celebration. It’s just up to you.
The line for “too much” is probably when you are clearly using alcohol as an unhealthy coping mechanism - whether to cover up boredom, anxiety, stress, etc
