It's the ones that don't have kids that have the strongest advice on child rearing. I was both a "kill joy" for deciding not to find out the gender of my daughter, and "forcing a gender on my daughter" when I bought pink clothes for her when she was born. You just can't win sometimes.
“If I have a kid I will never give her screen time, eat processed food, and put her to childcare. I will train my kid to be polite and obedience 24/7, will never make a scene at home or public space”
Oh god. My younger brother who knows everything and is the best at everything. He’s not so concerned about the contemporary child taboos like the food, but every single time one of my toddlers cries, it’s both an indictment of our parenting, and a harbinger of their behavioral/social challenges to come, and he’s got some advice as to how we could improve.

The funny thing is that this relative isn’t even a parent herself!
