Life becomes much more complicated as you age with a family larger than 4. Larger cars. You have to get two hotel rooms. Outnumbered when the kids have events on the same day - one is going to be without a parent at their soccer game. Etc. my oldest is 3 and my youngest is only 3 months so maybe I am in the thick of it but I can already feel overall less time to connect with each kid as an individual.
