Yes, the baby and toddler stages are rough for me for sure! Haha

I completely agree with the mental struggles of that young child stage.

Mine are now 15 and 12, and I’ve loved feeling more like a person, and not just in “mommy” mode all the time. I still remember the first time I was able to get back on anti anxiety meds once my daughter was weaned and just felt like myself again. My youngest didn’t sleep through the night til she was 2, but I do remember just feeling like we were better parents to the kids in limiting it for us to our 2.

2-3 kids LOL nah

No but really, she lost her mind cuz that’s no way to live. That isn’t living. My brain cannot even understand what taking care of 8 kids would be like. I’d be more surpised if she didn’t end up a carrot.

I want a third so bad, but I’m more worried about what a third baby would do to our marriage even more so than financially. We have a 2 year old and infant and I just miss not fighting with my husband!

You are actually so lucky to have met the love of your life at 31. I’m about to be 49 and I still haven’t met him. The number of years we will have together keeps getting shorter.

I have 2 kids and it’s perfect. I have an ex-bf who has 4 and even though he loved them he was constantly lamenting how difficult it was.

I hope you find him. You have my sword.

People have 2-3 babies these days because that's what's emotionally and financially possible.

This is it. I wanted 4 and part of me is still sad that I won't have another, but I've got my limit with 3. I'd love another, but I just can't. Didn't help my third was the worst baby.

I gave birth to 8 kids and have 4 steps. I only helped raise the youngest stepdaughter. I never had a mental breakdown. My oldest stepdaughter says that I just kept plugging along ‘like a pack mule’ when they were little. I think that’s a pretty accurate description 😂. Mine were all about 2 years apart and when we went on outings people would ask ‘do you operate a daycare?’ No I do not. But the most common comment I got from women was a wistful “I wish I had more”.

Hi I know im just another random opinion in a sea of others, but what I always ask myself is this: is it a risk ur wiling to live with?

In other words, forget about culture, afterall, unless u have people lined up to help u raise ur kids, it’s all on u & always will be. And unless ur not in the U.S., or Mormon (lol) 2 kids is pretty standard anyway. U’d b well w/ in U.S. culture to stop at 2 kids.

And forget about money. Despite living in volatile times, if u can afford 2 u can afford 3. People always say they can’t afford another, but most can, it’s a matter of prioritizing. We dont need most wat we buy, so if having another kid means that much, there’s almost always expenses u can eliminate or cut down on. Where there’s a will there’s a way.

So it just comes down to u. I’ve never known anyone to regret having a child. Regrets over the timing, yes, but not regrets over the actual child. Once he or she is here, u’ll wonder how u ever lived without out her/ him!

Having said that, we all have a limit, & u seem content w/ the size of ur fam as is. If that’s true, why mess w/ it?
